"Paolo Veronese’s The Healing of the Paralytic (c. 1560s) is a grand, theatrical depiction of Christ miraculously healing a man who cannot walk—set not in ancient Jerusalem, but in a lavish Renaissance palace. True to Veronese’s style, the scene is drenched in rich color, opulent architecture, and dynamic composition."
