The Japanese Footbridge by Claude Monet is a serene painting from his water lily series, created in the early 20th century. It depicts a graceful arched bridge over a pond filled with water lilies, set in Monet’s garden at Giverny. Over time, the bridge and water lilies evolved in his work from more detailed depictions to increasingly abstract, emotional interpretations—mirroring Monet’s changing vision and his struggle with eyesight as he aged.
